Social Distortion lead vocalist and guitarist, Mike Ness, has stressed that the band will shock their fans with a timely release of their next studio album.
The American Punk Rock band, which was formed way back in 1978, has only released seven studio albums thus far, and the band’s vocalist has admitted that the fans will not be sticking around if they do not release their next album in a timely manner.
“We’re going to shock everyone and release it in a timely fashion. I don’t like to take it for granted that fans will stick around. We had some big gaps between albums”, Ness said in a recent interview.
The band’s front-man went on to reveal that their last record, Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes, was good for the band and has left the door open for the next album.
Despite getting older, the talented musician revealed that he feels better ‘spiritually and emotionally’ as compared to when he was 30 year old.
“I box four-to-five times a week. I’m in a better place than when I was 30, spiritually and emotionally. It’s like a fresh start. What can I do over the next 50 years?”, Ness concluded.
