Multiple Grammy-winning musician Brian Setzer brings his high-energy big band orchestra to The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa for a special holiday performance.
His rockabilly swing comes Dec. 13 to Green Country with his Christmas Extravaganza tour.
Tickets start at $45 and go on sale Oct. 25. Guests must be at least 21 years old.
His solo releases include “Don’t Mess With A Big Band (Live!)” and “Christmas Comes Alive,” both released in 2010.
His American swing revival album, “Songs From Lonely Avenue,” helped him earn a Grammy nomination for the single “Mr. Surfer Goes Jazzin.”
Since the mid-’90s, The Brian Setzer Orchestra has released 15 albums. He’s won three Grammy awards.
For decades, he was the blond pompadoured frontman of the Stray Cats, a band that brought the punk-rockabilly sound into the mainstream with hits that include “Stray Cat Strut,” “Rock This Town,” “Look at That Cadillac,” “I Won’t Stand in Your Way” and “Bring it Back Again.” The band formed in 1979 and continued, off and on, until 2009.
His Christmas extravaganza includes standards and reworked classics with his 18-piece jump blues and swing orchestra, as well as hits from his solo, orchestra and Stray Cats years. His most popular songs include “Jump Jive an’ Wail,” “Rumble In Brighton,” “Sexy and 17,” “Symphony No. 5,” “Sleepwalk” and “Caravan,” among others.
