The Hot Rod Pin Ups Of Photographer David Perry

Hot Rod Pin Ups I by David Perryby Sad Man’s Tongue, Photos by David Perry

It’s hard enough for us to even take a descent picture of a car and try to make it look good, let alone a hot rod and a pin up. But one man does it so well, he has several books to prove it.

David Perry was born in Denver and is currently based in Los Angeles. His photos have been collected exhibited, and published world wide, and with clients such as Fender, Apple, Polaris, Toyota,  Hard Rock Casino, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, it does not take much to realize how talented this photographer is.

Today we are featuring some of his amazing work from his book “Hot Rod Pin Ups” published by Motorbooks in 2005 with a forward by Robert Williams. You can purchase the book for all your naughty or nice loved ones for Christmas here.

For as long as young men have been channeling, chopping, and hopping up rods and customs, women – whether loyal girlfriends or trouble-seeking “bad girls” – have been an integral to their scene. – Robert Williams, From The Book “Hot Rod Pin Ups”
